Well, we made our next goal of getting to the 30 week mark. That came on Friday, December 4th. Kristen says she can really feel the boys moving around inside her, and they are literally kicking her butt, ribs and internal organs. It’s uncomfortable to say the least.
Last night (Friday night), Kristen says it was one of the first nights she felt really large kicks during the evening where it’s ruined her sleep. That, in turn, made my night pretty bad. I got up at 5am and moved downstairs to the sofa for a couple hours. But I still made her a nice egg sandwich for breakfast, because I am the manservant, after all.
Overall the contractions haven’t been too bad lately. I had a dream the other night that the boys will be born on December 14th, but it would be nice to get at least into Week 32 (December 18th). I know Kristen’s uncomfortable but we’d really like to get into January. We’re both optimistic and not optimistic at the same time.
Kristen’s diabetic routine is underway, but it’s yielding lots of “normal” scores. We’re paying attention to the carbs that she has to eat, and it seems to be paying off. So we’ll just keep up this routine until the boys arrive. She’s already tired of pricking her finger an hour after each meal, though.
Sunday night we’re going to look at Christmas lights, just to get Kristen out of the house. Hopefully those boys stay inside her for a while. Our next OB appointment is Tuesday, and we’ll get some growth measurements to see how big they are. I fully expect they’ll be about 3.5 pounds each.
